Obituary

BETTY COOPER Indianola Betty Jean Cooper of Indianola was born to Clarence and Arlie Moore on October 2, 1928 in Carlisle, Iowa and died May 9, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond E Cooper; her children, Pam (Karl) Bachof, Cathi (Bing) Hagen, Melody (Greg) Allsup, Robert (Brenda) Cooper, Alice Cooper Brita and Roger (Teri) Cooper; a sister, Mary Lou (Jack) Repplinger; sisters-in-law, Elma Sparks and Louise Moore, 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond E. Cooper, Jr.; sisters, Edna Vaughn, Sally Bishop, Velma Bishop, Patricia Hess, Roberta Neely and Linda Moore. Betty's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed family picnics and monthly outings with her daughters, daughters-in-law and granddaughters. She also loved to read. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 14 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Webb Cemetery, rural Norwalk. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday May 13 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions, in Betty's name, can be made to Bright Kavanagh House or the American Cancer Society.
