BERTINE M. CURLEY Indianola Services for Bertine M. Rafferty Curley, 98, who passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 14 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Bertine was a loving and much loved wife, mother, grandma, grandma-great, great great-grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved all of God's creation and treated all with love and kindness. She was young at heart her whole life. Bertine was preceded in death by her parents, Victor W. and Dora M. (Wood) Ruble; husbands, Merlin Atkinson, Owen P Rafferty and Thomas Curley; brother, Guy (Anna Marie) Ruble; aunt, Lorena Moore; and great-granddaughter, Breana Louise Bell. She is survived by her children, Owen P. Rafferty and wife Brenda of Decatur City, IA, Kathleen D. Bell and husband Clifford of Shelby, IA, Laurence Rafferty and wife, Tammy of Minburn, IA, JoAnn Curley of Marshalltown and Thomas Curley and wife, Mary of Marshalltown. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Sally (Toby) Scully, Shawn (Amy) Bell, Shane Bell, Melody (Shawn) Osbahr, Monica (Cory) Vail, David Lundstrom, Daniel (Angela) Lundstrom, Will Rafferty, Tim Rafferty, Mike Curley, Sherri Lucas, Kim Curley and Suzy Curley; 26 great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and caretakers. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 13 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present to greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family in her name.
