Services for Bertha E. Edwards, 78, who died Sunday, December 3, 2006, at home will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, at the First Baptist Church in Indianola of which she was a member.  Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Bertha was born in Union Co. Iowa and had lived in Indianola since 1956.  She was a homemaker, sold Avon products and had also owned Bridal Fashions in Indianola.  Bertha was a member of the Rebekah's and ABWA.

She is survived by her sons, Charlie (Charlotte) Edwards of Clive and Wayne (Lorraine) Edwards of Indianola; sisters, Betty Crawford of Osceola and Carol Fox of Indianola; 3 grandchildren Mindy Hoon, Nathan Edwards and Crystal Edwards; 3 great-grandchildren Tanner, Cameron and Karrissa Hoon.  She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Edwards; son, Raymond and two brothers David and Charles Peterson.

Visitation will be held 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends.  Memorials may be designated to the First Baptist Church.
