A Celebration of Life Service for Bernard "Bernie" Elwood Drummond, 77, of St. Charles, Iowa, will take place 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Indianola Church of Christ. Bernie passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Des Moines.  Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date in the St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles.

Bernie was proud to serve his country in Vietnam while in the United States Navy. He enjoyed various outdoor activities, including fishing and hunting, and cherished spending time with his friends and family, which was very important to him.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Larry (Janet) Drummond and David Drummond; brother, Gary (Janet) Drummond as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam, (step-mother, Millie) and Jean Drummond (step-father, Norman); and step-brother, Richard Bean.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Indianola Church of Christ.
