Services for Anita Renea Kraack, 63, who passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.  The visitation will be held prior to services from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow services and inurnment of cremains will be held in the Hammondsburg Cemetery, Warren County, IA at a later date.

Anita was born November 4, 1954 at 2:10 p.m. to Edward Conrad and Evelyne (Byers) Vroom in the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, IA.  She worked at Westview Care Center as the Director of Nursing and retired as a registered nurse from the Knoxville Community Hospital.  She married Wayne Kraack in Indianola, IA.  She enjoyed music, gardening, playing on-line casino games and dancing.

Survivors include her daughters, Valerie (Dan) Mills, and Angela Welcher; step-daughter, Kristina (Alan) Benshoof; mother, Evelyne Simmons; 5 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great grandson and brother, Samuel (Carrie) Simmons. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Lynn Kraack; husband, Wayne Kraack; father, Edward Vroom; brother, John Simmons and step-father, Fred Simmons.  She also wanted to include her lost daughter, Jeni Jackson…lol!
