Services for Amber Marie Burton, 42, of Des Moines, IA, will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 18, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Cremation will follow services.

Amber was born in Des Moines, IA on November 18, 1978, and passed away September 12, 2021. Amber is survived by her parents, Mike and Valerie Burton; children, Dion Millard Jr. and Maddie Millard; brothers, Chad (Gentry) Burton and Michael Burton; nieces, Bailey and Blexley Burton; nephew, Jack Burton; and great-nephew, Thomas Burton. She also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Amber started working as a CNA in high school. She later went to DMACC, while working, to get her nursing license as an LPN. She has always worked with the elderly. She loved her patients.

Amber enjoyed spending time with her children and family. Many years were spent camping and taking family vacations.

Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents Larry and Barbara Campbell, and Dorothy McQueary.

Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 17 at Overton Funeral Home, where family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. to greet friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made for her children to the Amber Burton Memorial Fund, C/O Bankers Trust 453 7th Street, Des Moines, IA 50309.
