Family services for Amanda Core, 41, of Indianola, IA, who passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, in an auto accident, will be held Monday, December 14.  Friends may join the family on Amanda's obituary page of Overton Funeral Home's website beginning at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Amanda was a 1998 graduate of Lincoln High School in Des Moines. After graduation, she started working for Unity Point Health with the majority of her career in West Des Moines offices. She worked for more than 22 years as a patient service representative.

On July 22, 2000, she married the love of her life, Aaron Core. They had just celebrated 20 years of marriage this year. In February 2006, they welcomed Aiden to their lives. In September 2015, they welcomed their second son, Austin.

Amanda loved her boys dearly. She enjoyed playing with them and watching them grow. She especially liked to watch Aiden perform in marching and jazz band. She was proud of his saxophone playing skills. Austin kept her on her toes with his antics and love of all things farming.  Amanda also loved spending time with her husband, Aaron. They enjoyed traveling together including trips to Hawaii, Florida and California. They also both looked forward to spending time with family and friends. Amanda also adored her work family and the friendships she formed there.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Aaron; children, Aiden and Austin Core; parents, Raleigh Jr. and Cindy Hutt; brother, Brice (Alicia) Hutt; niece, Brileigh Hutt and nephew, Conner Hutt; and uncle, Terry Schoenenberger.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myra Schoenenberger and Raleigh Hutt Sr.

Public visitation will be held from Noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where family will be present from 2 to 5 p.m.  Face masks are required.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family in her name.
