Alice, who went by Ann, was born April 25, 1948 to Frank and Lois Brunia in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up on a farm in rural Warren County. Ann and Ken had two children Andrew James and Sara Ann and lived their married life in Indianola.
Ann was an elementary school teacher for Des Moines Public Schools for 37 years. She met many of her close friends while teaching and cherishing those friendships throughout her life. Ann was an incredibly strong, intelligent and graceful mother and grandmother. One of her favorite things during retirement was taking care of her precious grandchildren. Those who knew Ann would know of her kind generosity, warm smile and selflessness that truly embodied the spirit of the Lord.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lois Brunia, her brothers Frank and Fred Brunia and her nephew Chad Hollingsworth.
