Alan had worked for UPS, receiving an award for 25 years of service.

Survivors include his children Alicia and McKenzie Overton and Trevor Clatt, all of Indianola; his parents, Russell and Alta Overton of Indianola; sister, Roz Gugler of Salina, KS; niece, Deanna Overton of Des Moines; grandson Daxsen Clatt and several other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Rick Overton.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. The family will be present from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to greet friends. Memorials may be designated in his name to be used to assist Indianola Youth Sports Activities.
