Memorial services for Alan O. Hukle, 82, who died Saturday, November 19, 2005 at home, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at the Norwalk Christian Church of which he was a member. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Norwalk Cemetery with Military Rites.

Born in Startford, IA, he had lived in Norwalk for 60 years. He worked as a printer pressman for Meredith and Donnelly Corporations for 44 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Pressman Local # 86. Alan had served in the United States Army in Europe and North Africa during WWII and had received the Purple Heart while in France.

Alan was always ready to help anyone in need and was a friend and mentor to many people of all ages. He enjoyed looking at and sitting by a campfire and being with his family and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Carolyn; children, Alan W. "Rocky" (Susan) Hukle of Davis, IL, Roger G. (Connie) Hukle of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda (Bill) Connell and Sue (Mike) Rynearson of Norwalk; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be designated to the Norwalk Christian Church in Alan's name.
